Resthaven End‑of‑life mechanical asset replacement
Butterfields was engaged to identify and replace end of life mechanical assets across a live Resthaven facility. The project required careful planning and staged delivery to ensure residents’ comfort, safety, and daily routines were maintained at all times.
Delivered across nine coordinated stages, the upgrade involved close collaboration with Resthaven’s operational teams and engineers. With key systems embedded within the building structure, works were carefully sequenced to minimise disruption while maintaining performance and compliance.
Scope of Work
- Review and assessment of existing mechanical systems, including recommendations and project forecasting reviewed by Resthaven’s engineers
- Replacement of nine Variable Refrigerant Systems integrated within the building
- Staged delivery to support continuous operation of the facility
- Associated building works, including partitioning, ceiling modifications, and painting
- Coordination of multiple trades to ensure quality, safety, and minimal disruption
This project highlights Butterfields’ ability to deliver complex mechanical upgrades within sensitive, occupied environments — providing certainty, consistency, and reliable outcomes without compromising resident wellbeing.
